ROTOR + GIÖBIA
ROTOR feilen seit 25 Jahren an ihrem knochentrockenen instrumentalen Sound zwischen Stoner, Progressive und 70s Space Rock. 1998 in Berlin als Trio gegründet, schlagen sie seit 2014 ihren Sound als Quartett in den Stein. Rotor verweigern sich üblichen Medien- und Internet-Mechanismen, und das befeuert ihren Legendenstatus als eine einzigartige Kultband.
Jetzt sind Rotor endlich zurück mit ihrem lang erwarteten Album „Sieben“! Zwei Jahre eingesperrt in ihren 4 Wänden ohne Konzerte, haben sie neue Sound-, Melodie- und Riff-Welten erforscht und in 7 Songs gegossen. Diese haben sie in einem heißen August zusammen mit Charlie Paschen (Coogans Bluff, Charlies Studio) auf Vinyl gebannt. Die Titel „Kahlschlag“, „Mäander“ und „Reibach“ spiegeln eine neue Realität wider, denn auch ohne viele Worte schaffen sie es, sich stets auf den Punkt Gehör zu verschaffen.

The mystical day ’60s rock met neo-psychedelic rock, mixing up to the point of losing consciousness of their own essence, that’s when Giöbia’s acid rock was born, in an overwhelming soundtrack with an unmistakable Italian taste.
In a vortex that leaves no way out, the unique melodies of this quartet take the listener into a world where the boundaries of reality are no longer defined and anything can happen.
Following the release of Hard Stories (Jestrai) in 2009, Giöbia firmly established themselves in 2013 with Introducing Night Sounds (Sulatron Records), which suddenly brought them to some of the most important stages in Europe.
In 2016, the milestone The Magnifier (Sulatron Records) secured them a place among the most influential bands of the scene.
Giöbia went on astonishing their audience by forging Plasmatic Idol (Heavy Psych Sounds), which saw the light in 2020 and reconfirmed them as forefathers of a genre that fascinates and amazes anyone who dares to leave themselves behind without fear of never returning.
In 2021, the band released the split album with The Cosmic Dead, The Intergalactic Connection – Exploring The Sideral Remote Hyperspace, a must-have for every space traveler.
Unable to stop in front of any challenge, in 2023 the quartet shaped Acid Disorder (Heavy Psych Sounds), which expertly refined their psychedelic rock attitude alongside a wide spectrum of sounds.
After two years, Giöbia finally released another brand-new album, X-ÆON, out in October 2025 via Heavy Psych Sounds, marking the latest chapter in their evolution and consolidating their position in the European psychedelic rock scene.
